Das ROTAUF Design- und Entwicklungsteam befasst sich seit über 10 Jahren mit den negativen Auswirkungen der Herstellung von Outdoorbekleidung auf Mensch, Tier und Umwelt und leistet Pionierarbeit in deren konsequenter Reduktion.

Seit der Gründung in 2011 werden alle ROTAUF Kleider ausschliesslich in der Schweiz hergestellt, um faire Arbeitsbedingungen sicherzustellen und der Schweizer Textilindustrie mit innovativen Produkten und zeitgemässer Kommunikation zu neuem Schwung zu verhelfen.

2016 hat ROTAUF als eine von nur drei Outdoor-Marken das Greenpeace Detox Commitment unterzeichnet und damit seinen Anspruch bekräftigt, Outdoorbekleidung ohne den Einsatz von giftigen Chemikalien herzustellen. ROTAUF verwendet zudem ausschliesslich umweltfreundliche und möglichst lokale Materialien, viele davon Eigenentwicklungen.

Ein weiter wichtiger Grundsatz des ROTAUF Design- und Entwicklungs-Teams ist die Reduktion aller ROTAUF Produkte aufs Wesentliche. Mit der Nacktwander-Kollektion ist ROTAUF diesen Weg nun konsequent zu Ende gegangen.
