Insulation Jacket 120 Men
A fabric produced in Appenzell and a fine wool fleece from sheep living in the canton Grisons are the main ingredients for the warmest insulation jacket from ROTAUF. Skilled hands in Rothrist sew the jacket together, either with a collar or hood. The sporty, elegant jacket is the ideal companion for everyday life and light sporting activities. Thanks to the climate-regulating properties of wool, Insulation 120 is suitable for both cool and cold days.

Woven in Appenzell
durable high-tech fabric from Switzerland
Appenzell is home to a weaving mill which is jointly run by the companies Alumo and WeBa.
Alumo looks back on a good 100 years of existence in Appenzell. The former twine factory was founded in 1918. From 1950 onwards, the manufactory specialised in the finest cotton fabrics for shirts. Technology, knowledge and infrastructure have been constantly expanded, making Alumo one of the most modern weaving mills in Europe today. All manufacturing processes take place in Appenzell and comply with the world's highest environmental and sustainability standards.
The technology and know-how of the art of weaving make Alumo the ideal partner to develop a new fabric for the Insulation Jacket together with ROTAUF.
Shortly before the breakthrough, the sad news reached us: The owners of Alumo are closing down the weaving mill at the beginning of 2021 and operations will cease.
20 people lose their jobs in the crisis.
We promise that we will continue to fight for SWSS MADE!

In 2014 they build a completely new work shop. 38 employees work on ultra-modern machines and produce thousands parts year after year.
The high efficiency and work ethic of WIMO AG is very impressive. Since 2018 we are partners for production.

Pastured in Disentis
Warm Thanks to the Organic Sheep Wool from Disentis.
Disentis is located at the backmost corner of the Rhine valley. This beautiful patch of earth is the domicile of the “Bündner Oberländer”-tribe. One of those is the organic farmer Markus from Segnas. The 150 sheep, which he can call his own, pasture the alpine meadows around Disentis since ages. In spring time before the sheep are released to the meadows, strong men with trimmers pay a visit to the farm. Subsequently, they are released to the alpine meadows.
In autumn, after the sheep have spent the summer on the pastures and their hair has regrown the friendly guys with the trimmers set their hands once again on the animals. This way, every autumn and every spring wool is produced by the sack – which we can use perfectly for our jacket.
