USE INSTEAD OF BURN

GRISON WOOL BY MARCUS BERTHER

Marcus Berther is a sheep farmer at heart. With his nearly 200 ewes and their lambs, he lives in the Grisons Oberland, specifically in Segnas. During the summer, his sheep spend their time high up in the alpine pastures. Marcus Berther describes it as a form of wellness for the sheep. Whether Marcus Berther would recognize his own sheep in a foreign herd, how many lambs are born each year, what happens to the wool from his sheep, and much more interesting information can be found in the Rotcast.

The wool for your clothing comes from happy sheep.

For the Grison Wool Series, we use wool from Marcus and his fellow mountain farmers. Even our exclusive Swiss Merino Series is made from Swiss wool.

However, the few small Swiss Merino sheep do not produce enough wool for all our products. That's why we look across the pond and use certified organic wool from small farms in South America.

Learn more about our wool

Wool has a long tradition in Switzerland but was almost forgotten for a while until outdoor brands rediscovered the advantages of this raw material.

We are thrilled that we can use Grison wool as a local resource for our high-tech jackets.

It fills us with pride that these jackets are sewn 100% in Switzerland, thus preserving local jobs.
